March, 2019. CPAW team members presented at the annual International Association of Fire Chief’s Wildland-Urban Interface Conference in Reno, Nevada. The presentation, titled Planning for the WUI: Tools, Tips, and Trends summarized land use planning strategies for wildfire risk reduction and featured strategies and outcomes from several CPAW communities. The presentation was given by CPAW team members Molly Mowery and Kelly Johnston, as well as two community partners—Doug Green from Bend, Oregon, and Paul Cada from the City of Vail, Colorado.
