October 2017. The El Pomar Foundation recently hosted a symposium at the Penrose House in Colorado Springs, CO as part of their Pikes Peak Heritage Series, to discuss wildfire’s short- and long-term impacts on the Pikes Peak region of Colorado. CPAW Program manager Molly Mowery was invited to lead a discussion panel alongside Eric Lovgren (WUI Mitigation Specialist, Eagle County) and Karen Berchtold (Planner, Manitou Springs) focused on the importance of planning in a wildfire environment.
